Cricut Markers using "Glenda's Marker Method"-Videos!

Do you want an easier & more precise way to use your Cricut Markers? For those of you who never saw my post waaaayyy last year on the Cricut MB outlining how to use my "Glenda's Cricut Marker Method", I finally taped some videos back in February (2009), but sadly, they were part of a group of Cricut videos I'd done that somehow disappeared off my hard drive. Then, after I recently did a "disk defrag" they magically reappeared, which was a THRILL!!!! So I finally got them edited & loaded up to YouTube.

There is a "short" version of the Tutorial, which only talks about using the markers (using my "method", which does differ from the manufacturer's directions!) & shows how to change them, etc. Then there is an "extended" version, which is a 3-Part Tutorial that not only demonstrates how to use the "Glenda's Cricut Marker Method", but also gives some other "Hints & How-To's" in typical Glenda fashion that also include some things about the Cricut Design Studio Software, as well as some other things.

I hope they'll help you to get those Cricut Markers out of the drawer, where they've probably been gathering dust & allow you to have another working tool for your Cricut!!!!

Here's the "extended" version (Part 1):

  1. I ran across your markers tips on the Cricut messageboard previously and it helped me realize how much fun the markers could be when done your way. Your video will be a great help to anyone for your other tips, too. I think now I am going to start working on numbering my overlays and handbooks.

    thanks for sharing!

  2. Thanks soooo much Scootin Granny!! That's exactly why I do these videos--in the hope that even one little hint might help someone try to do something they were hesitant to do,or to just make things easier & faster when creating!!! My motto has always been: Crafting is NOT supposed to be stressful--it's supposed to be fun & relaxing!! Enjoy!!!

  4. Glenda, I was getting so discouraged with my markers that I was about to throw them away. Then along came your video on You Tube and I am a marker maniac. Thank you so much for all your great tips and for allowing me to find yet another great way to expand the use of both my Expression and Baby Bug. I am now going to watch it for about the tenth time and write out the steps so I never forget them, after that, its off to number my overlays and my books....THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR TALENT!!

  8. Glenda,
I just came across your videos on you tube and would like to thank you for all the tips you added in to your video. I do have one question which I might have missed it while writing notes but what is the setting you use for the distress setting on the other set of markers? Thank you for your time.

  9. Hi Glenda,

Thank you for the tutorial on the markers. I, like everyone else, did not have very good luck following the given instructions from Cricut but look forward to trying your method. I do have a question though -- will this method work with the Gypsy? I've also never had good luck using DS but love my Gypsy and wonder if the cutting and marker methods will work as well. Have you (or any of your followers) tried that out yet? Thank you!
